The Casino Helsinki Sports Bar offers international sporting experiences every day, with a wide variety of channels, a giant screen, and 30 sports screens. You can also book your own booth for you and your friends, where you can choose the channel you want.

The 2025 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship will be held from May 9 to 25, 2025, in Sweden and Denmark. Once again, Casino Helsinki will serve as the official Veikkaus viewing venue for Team Finland. On Sunday, May 25, we'll be singing "Den glider in" in the final against Sweden – just like in 1995. Nevö foget! Casino Helsinki will be open during the May Day celebrations. On May Day Eve, we’ll keep our doors open until 4 am, and on May Day we’ll be serving guests as usual until 2 am. Casino Helsinki will be open during Easter, except on Monday, April 21. On Maundy Thursday, we’ll be open two hours longer than usual, until 4 am. Casino Helsinki's Easter Opening Hours are: Thu 17.4. - Sat 19.4. 3 pm - 4 am, Sun 20.4. 3 pm - 2 am and Mon 21.4. Closed. Casino Helsinki Sports Bar is Getting a Makeover

The casino renovation is progressing, and next up for a facelift is the Sports Bar. The restaurant area will get a refreshed interior, and the screens will be upgraded to offer you an even better and more enjoyable sports experience in the future. The sports kitchen and dining area will be closed from March 17 to March 31, but the bar will remain open as usual. On Tuesday, April 1, we will celebrate Casino Helsinki's 21st birthday on Mikonkatu and simultaneously unveil the newly renovated Sports Bar. Restaurant Services at Casino Helsinki to Be Transferred to Restel

Restel Oy and Veikkaus Oy have signed an agreement regarding the restaurant services at Casino Helsinki. Restel aims to develop the casino’s dining services and ensure that customers continue to enjoy unforgettable experiences in the future. Restel will take over as the restaurant operator on April 1, 2025. Before that, Casino Helsinki’s popular Sports Bar will undergo a renovation, updating both its facilities and sports services with a fresh new look. The casino’s restaurant services will be integrated into Restel’s Food&Events Tapahtumaravintolat, known for its high-quality service and diverse food offerings.

Casino Helsinki to Undergo Renovations in 2025

As part of the extensive transformation of the Fennia Quarter, Casino Helsinki will also undergo a facelift. The renovation work will be carried out in phases, with the most significant visible changes in the Casino Sports Bar and gaming areas. A substantial portion of the renovation will take place behind the scenes, focusing on technical systems. The entire project is expected to take approximately 10 months. Most of the work will be scheduled outside the casino’s operating hours, allowing us to continue serving customers primarily as usual during the renovations. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding.

Finland’s national football team Huuhkajat is fighting for a spot in the World Cup, and Casino Helsinki is, as always, the official fan zone for Finland’s matches. The Malta vs. Finland match on Friday, March 21st, at 21:45 and the Lithuania vs. Finland match on Monday, March 24th, at 19:00 will be shown on the casino’s giant screen by the main stairs. Additionally, the Friday match against Malta can also be watched in the Fennia Salonki area.

The Women's Day poker tournament will be played this year in a Terminator format, with Texas No Limit re-entry as the game type. Ticket sales for the tournament will begin on February 12th at 3:00 PM at the casino's cash desks. Some tickets can be reserved through Veikkaus customer service (02000 55000). Reserved tickets must be claimed at the casino's cash desk no later than 15 minutes before the tournament begins. Veikkaus has been working diligently on various aspects of responsible gambling for a long time, and this effort was rewarded for the first time with full marks in all eleven areas of the European Lotteries' responsibility audit. The EL certificate was achieved for the sixth time, with the first being in 2009 among the initial member companies. In the latest assessment, Veikkaus also received full marks in the "Game design" and "Digital channels" categories. Factors contributing to this include our ethical evaluation tool for the product development process, Gamgard, and our updated and actively used game harm prediction and care measures.

Renovation of Casino Helsinki’s Reception Area

Starting Monday, October 28, 2024, we will begin renovating our casino’s reception area. During the approximately two-week renovation, our reception services will be temporarily relocated to the Bar All In area. We will continue to operate as usual throughout the renovation. The Finnish Championship of Live Poker will take place from October 15th to 19th, 2024, at Casino Helsinki’s Fennia Salon. This year, four tournaments will be played. Veikkaus’ change negotiations finalized – Casino Tampere will be closed after 9th, December 2023

The change negotiations, which were launched at the beginning of September, and which concerned a total of 825 employees, have now been finalized. Veikkaus’ organizational structure will undergo changes that will support strategy-based goals, i.e., to be the market leader in Finland in the future and an internationally competitive, growing gambling company. As a consequence of the change negotiations Casino Tampere will be closed after 9th, December 2023.

Our lunch restaurant Lafter, located in Fennia's courtyard, will open its doors again after the summer break on Monday, August 14, 2023. The restaurant is open on weekdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Welcome!

Summer opening hours

Our casinos are open in the summer, with a few exceptions: Casino Helsinki and Tampere are closed on Thursday 8 June 13.-17.6. Casino Helsinki is open daily from 15:00 to 04:00 due to the Midnight Sun poker tournament. On Midsummer, Casino Helsinki will serve as usual. Casino Tampere is open on Friday 23 June. from 15:00 to 01:00, Sat 24 and Sun 25 June the casino is closed. Sunny summer!

Casino Tampere's opening hours will be slightly changed from Monday 6 March 2023. In the future, from Sunday to Thursday, we will open the doors one hour later, at 4:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday opening hours remain unchanged.

Casino Tampere 1 year - We celebrate 15.-17.12.

Casino Tampere celebrates its one-year anniversary on December 15-17, 2022. The program includes music performances by Jonna Geagea and Sebastian Rejman, the CT1V party poker tournament and an evening party led by DJ Morenna.

The 22nd FIFA World Cup will be played from November 20 to December 18, 2022. We will show the games live on the screens of Casino Helsinki Sports Bar and Suisto Sports Lounge in Tampere. In Helsinki, you can also watch the games at Fennia Salonki starting December 3.

Our casinos are open according to normal opening hours on Finnish Independence Day. December 5th, on the eve of Independence Day, Casino Tampere is open until 04 am, due to the event in the Nokia Arena. Casino Tampere is closed on Sunday December 4th.

Midsummer opening hours

Casino Helsinki and Casino Tampere are open during normal opening hours throughout the summer. The only exception is Midsummer on Saturday 25th and the following Sunday 26th June, when Casino Tampere is exceptionally closed. Casino Helsinki is open on Midsummer.
