Watch EuroBasket 2025 Live at Casino Helsinki’s Sports Bar
Finnish basketball fans are in for a rare treat as the Men’s EuroBasket group stage will be played in Tampere from 27 August to 3 September 2025. This is a historic occasion, as for the first time ever the Finnish men’s national basketball team, also known as Susijengi, will get to play its EuroBasket matches in front of a home crowd. If you can’t make it to Tampere to watch Finland in action, Casino Helsinki’s Sports Bar will be showing all the games on its many screens.
Star Players and a New Generation
In recent years, Susijengi has become a true phenomenon in Finnish sports. Passionate fans, a fast-paced style of play, and a team that plays with heart have made Finland’s men’s national basketball team a source of national pride. Now, the home crowd will have the chance to cheer for the team in person in Tampere as Susijengi fights for a spot in the knockout stages.
The Finnish squad features familiar names such as NBA star Lauri Markkanen, the team’s undisputed leader both on and off the court. Also included is an experienced core from recent major tournaments, such as Sasu Salin and Mikael Jantunen, but the tournament will also showcase exciting new-generation players like the 211 cm tall Miikka Muurinen. The 18-year-old Muurinen, who currently plays high school basketball in the United States, is highly sought after by several American universities. Coaching won’t be an issue either, as head coach Lassi Tuovi is supported by Finnish basketball legends Hanno Möttölä and Teemu Rannikko as assistant coaches.

Admission to the Casino and Sports Bar is free. The age limit is 18 years. ID checks are carried out at the casino reception, so please bring valid photo identification (driver’s license, passport, or ID card).
