Sports Bar Casino Helsinki – Sports fans’ favourite

The Casino Helsinki Sports Bar offers international sporting experiences every day, with a wide variety of channels, a giant screen, and 30 sports screens. You can also book your own booth for you and your friends, where you can choose the channel you want.

You can leave inquiries and table reservations via the form or by calling our customer service on 0200 55000.

Reservations for less than three days can only be made by phone. Please note that the booking is only valid after receiving confirmation by email.

Casino Helsinki's Holiday Season Opening Hours

operate as usual on Independence Day, December 6th, from 3 pm to 4 am. Over Christmas, we’ll have reduced hours on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, from 6 pm to 2 am, while maintaining regular hours otherwise. On New Year’s Eve, we’ll stay open until 4 am, and on New Year’s Day, we’ll be open from 3 pm to 2 am. We wish you a joyful holiday season!

Veikkaus and Casino Helsinki receive full marks for responsibility

Veikkaus has been working diligently on various aspects of responsible gambling for a long time, and this effort was rewarded for the first time with full marks in all eleven areas of the European Lotteries' responsibility audit. The EL certificate was achieved for the sixth time, with the first being in 2009 among the initial member companies. In the latest assessment, Veikkaus also received full marks in the "Game design" and "Digital channels" categories. Factors contributing to this include our ethical evaluation tool for the product development process, Gamgard, and our updated and actively used game harm prediction and care measures.

The Helsinki Freezeout poker tournament returns to Mikonkatu in January. This time, the event will run for eight days, from January 10–17, 2025. Tickets for the tournament are now on sale at the Casino Helsinki cashier. Some tickets can also be reserved through Veikkaus’ customer service (0200 55000). Reserved tickets must be redeemed at the casino cashier no later than 15 minutes before the tournament starts. Any remaining tickets will be available at the cashier on the tournament day. Please note that your identity will be checked at the casino, so make sure to bring a valid ID with you.

Join us for an atmospheric evening of familiar tunes at the Apulanta Unplugged mini concert on Saturday, 15th February 2025, at 7:00 PM. The concert is free for all our customers. Please note that we will check IDs at the reception, so make sure to bring a valid form of identification (driver’s license, passport, or ID card). The casino and its events are restricted to those aged 18 and over.

Renovation of Casino Helsinki’s Reception Area

Starting Monday, October 28, 2024, we will begin renovating our casino’s reception area. During the approximately two-week renovation, our reception services will be temporarily relocated to the Bar All In area. We will continue to operate as usual throughout the renovation. However, this temporary arrangement may cause occasional delays, particularly at reception during busy event nights. We kindly advise you to plan accordingly and allow extra time for check-in.

Finnish Championship of Live Poker 2024

The Finnish Championship of Live Poker will take place from October 15th to 19th, 2024, at Casino Helsinki’s Fennia Salon. This year, four tournaments will be played. The main event of the week is a two-day Texas Hold'em tournament with a buy-in of €670. Tickets will be available for purchase at the Casino Helsinki reception starting Wednesday, September 16th, at 3:00 PM.

2024 Paris Olympic Games on screens of Casino Sports Bar 26.7.-11.8.2024

Not even an Olympiad has passed since the last Olympic Games. The last games were postponed by a year due to COVID. Nevertheless, soon there will be running, shooting, wrestling, boxing, jumping, cycling, doing judo, throwing, sailing, swimming, skateboarding, and golfing. These sports are brought up through Finnish lenses. No matter what lenses you look through, you can watch the Olympics on the numerous screens at Casino Sports Bar.

UEFA Euro 2024 on the screens of the Casino Sports Bar

The UEFA Euro 2024 matches will be played in Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024. If you can't make it to Germany, you can watch all the matches at the Casino Sports Bar on numerous screens, enjoying the best tournament atmosphere. Casino Helsinki's Sports Bar is open from Sunday to Thursday from 3 PM to 2 AM and on Friday and Saturday from 3 PM to 4 AM. Our kitchen serves daily from 3 PM to 11 PM.

Casino Helsinki is open on Christmas, albeit with slightly different opening hours than normal. On New Year's Eve, we serve until four in the morning. Veikkaus’ change negotiations finalized – Casino Tampere will be closed after 9th, December 2023

The change negotiations, which were launched at the beginning of September, and which concerned a total of 825 employees, have now been finalized. Veikkaus’ organizational structure will undergo changes that will support strategy-based goals, i.e., to be the market leader in Finland in the future and an internationally competitive, growing gambling company. As a consequence of the change negotiations Casino Tampere will be closed after 9th, December 2023.

Midsummer opening hours

Casino Helsinki and Casino Tampere are open during normal opening hours throughout the summer. The only exception is Midsummer on Saturday 25th and the following Sunday 26th June, when Casino Tampere is exceptionally closed. Casino Helsinki is open on Midsummer.
