2024 Paris Olympic Games on screens of Casino Sports Bar 26.7.-11.8.2024

Not even an Olympiad has passed since the last Olympic Games. The last games were postponed by a year due to COVID. Nevertheless, soon there will be running, shooting, wrestling, boxing, jumping, cycling, doing judo, throwing, sailing, swimming, skateboarding, and golfing. These sports are brought up through Finnish lenses. No matter what lenses you look through, you can watch the Olympics on the numerous screens at Casino Sports Bar.

Casino Helsinki’s Sports Bar is open from Sunday to Thursday from 3 PM to 2 AM and on Fridays and Saturdays from 3 PM to 4 AM. The kitchen serves daily from 3 PM to 11 PM. The games will be held in Paris, and many events will take place at iconic venues or right next to the city’s landmarks, such as the Eiffel Tower, the Palace of Versailles, Hotel de Ville, Esplanade des Invalides park, and Roland-Garros tennis courts. The Seine River will host the swimming portion of the triathlon and the marathon swim. Surprisingly, surfing will be held in Tahiti, not Paris.

There are over fifty Finns participating, so there will be plenty to get excited about. Athletes include Wilma Murto, Sinem Kurtbay, Reetta Hurske, Oliver Helander, Pihla Kaivo-oja, Eetu Kallioinen, Silja Kosonen, Matti Mattsson, Martti Puumalainen, Arvi Savolainen, Ursula Wikström and Sami Välimäki. Medals and even top-eight finishes will be tough, but let’s hope and believe that there will be something to bring home this time as well.

Entry to Casino Helsinki is free. The age limit is 18 years. We check IDs at the reception, so please bring a valid ID with you.
