Ice Hockey World Championship 10.–26.5.2024

The 2024 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship kicks off for the Finnish national team Leijonat on the opening day of the tournament Friday May 10, when Finland faces the host team Czech Republic. Finland will play its preliminary round matches in Prague.

Veikkaus is the main partner of the Finnish Ice Hockey Association and the national team Leijonat. We will broadcast Finland’s games live on the screens of the Casino Helsinki Sports Bar.

The Sports Bar is open from Sunday to Thursday from 3 pm to 2 am and on Friday and Saturday from 3 pm to 4 am. The restaurant kitchen is open daily from 3 pm to 11 pm. The Finnish national team’s match schedule

Out of the seven preliminary round matches, three will begin at 17:20 Finnish time. Three matches are late-night games starting at 21:20. The match against Great Britain starts at 13:20, but the casino opens at 15:00, unfortunately meaning the game won’t be shown. On Thursday, May 23, the casino is closed all day.
